This policy explains what happens to your information when you use namestyle.app (“NameStyle”, “we”, “us”).

What we collect

NameStyle has no accounts, no sign-up and no forms. The names you type are turned into styles inside your own browser and are not sent to our server.

What is stored on your device

• Recently used styles: saved in a cookie named nsx_recent_v1 so your recent list is still there next time.
• Favourites: saved in your browser storage under ns_favs.
• Your last typed name: saved in a cookie named nsx_last_name so the box is filled in when you come back.

This data stays on your device. You can delete it any time by clearing your browser cookies and site data.

Server logs

Like most websites, our hosting provider may keep standard server logs, such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested. These are used for security and to keep the site running.

Third-party services

• jQuery: a code library loaded from the cdnjs content delivery network (Cloudflare). Your browser contacts that service to download it, so it can see your IP address.
• Share button: if your browser has no share menu, the button opens WhatsApp with your chosen name filled in. WhatsApp’s own privacy policy applies from that point.

Analytics and advertising

At the time of writing we do not use analytics or advertising cookies. If we add them later, we will update this page before they start.

Children

NameStyle is a general-audience tool and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows the latest version.
