NameStyle changes the name you type into a stylish name. You can copy it and paste it into Free Fire, BGMI, PUBG, Instagram, IMO, TikTok or WhatsApp. There are more than 200 styles to choose from. This guide explains what a name style is, which apps accept it, and what to do when an app refuses it.
The short version:
- A name style is your name written with special Unicode characters. It is normal text, so you can paste it anywhere that accepts text.
- Use a styled name for a nickname, a display name or a bio. Do not use it for a username or a login.
- A Free Fire nickname has a short character limit, so keep the name short.
- Before you pay for a rename in a game, paste the name into a notes app and check that it looks right.
- The language button in the box writes your name in Hindi, Urdu or Bangla as well as English.

What is a name style?
A name style is your name written with special characters instead of normal keyboard letters. For example, Zain can become 𝓩𝓪𝓲𝓷, ᴢᴀɪɴ or ꧁༒☬𝓩𝓪𝓲𝓷☬༒꧂. It is still the same name. Only the look is different. A name style is also called a stylish name or a name design.
The result is text. It is not a picture, and it is not a font file. Your phone already has these characters. They are part of Unicode, a system that stores every letter and symbol on a phone. So you can copy a styled name and paste it into a game, a bio or a chat. You do not need to install anything.
This table shows how the name Zain looks in some of the styles on this page.
| Style | Result for Zain | Good for |
|---|---|---|
| Script | 𝓩𝓪𝓲𝓷 | Instagram and IMO names |
| Bold | 𝐙𝐚𝐢𝐧 | Bios and group names |
| Old English | 𝖅𝖆𝖎𝖓 | Attitude and boy styles |
| Double-struck | ℤ𝕒𝕚𝕟 | Short game nicknames |
| Small caps | ᴢᴀɪɴ | Longer phrases and bios |
| Circled | Ⓩⓐⓘⓝ | Casual profiles |
| Boxed | 【Z】【a】【i】【n】 | Gamer names |
| Frame | ꧁༒☬𝓩𝓪𝓲𝓷☬༒꧂ | Free Fire and BGMI lobbies |
| Hearts | Z♥a♥i♥n | Love and couple names |
| Strike-through | Z̶a̶i̶n̶ | Playful bios, but hard to read |
NameStyle has more than 200 styles. The styles for Free Fire, BGMI, Instagram and IMO are at the top, because many people use those apps. A stylish name generator like this one changes each letter you type into a matching decorative letter. A Free Fire name generator, a BGMI name generator and a PUBG name generator use the same method.
What a name style is not
A name style is not a font that you install, so you do not need a stylish name app. It does not change your Free Fire ID or UID. It cannot give you diamonds, UC or followers. It only changes how your name is written.
How to make a stylish name with NameStyle
It takes about one minute.
- Type your name in the box at the top. You can use your real name, a nickname or a short phrase. The limit is 40 characters. To write it in Hindi, Urdu or Bangla, use the language button in the box. It is explained later in this guide.
- Scroll down, or use the bar under the box to choose a category, such as Free Fire or Instagram. The cards change as you type.
- Tap the card you like, or tap its copy button. A small Copied label appears.
- To add symbols around the name, tap Deco on the card.
- Paste the name into the app. Look at the preview before you confirm anything that costs money, diamonds or UC.
Tap the heart on a card to save the name. Saved names appear in Favourites, above Recent. They are stored only in your browser. The share button opens the share menu on your phone, so you can send a name to a friend.
Where a stylish name works and where it does not
Use a styled name where an app shows a display name, such as a nickname, a profile name or a bio. Do not use it where the app needs exact spelling, such as a username or a login.
| Where | Does a styled name work? | What to know |
|---|---|---|
| Free Fire nickname | Usually | The length limit is small, and unusual symbols can be refused |
| BGMI or PUBG Mobile name | Usually | You need a Rename item, and names that are mostly symbols may be refused |
| Instagram name | Yes | Up to 30 characters |
| Instagram username | No | Letters, numbers, periods and underscores only |
| Instagram bio | Yes | Long lines of fancy text are hard to read |
| IMO name, group and room | Usually | Short names are easier to read in the chat list |
| TikTok nickname | Yes | The username stays plain |
| WhatsApp profile name | Usually | Check the preview after you paste |
| Facebook name | Often refused | Facebook has strict name rules, so use styles in your bio or posts |
Apps change their rules often. If this table and the app are different, follow the app.
Why length limits cause problems
Every decoration symbol counts as a character. A Free Fire nickname can have 12 characters. Check the limit in your version of the game, because games change. Look at ꧁༒☬𝓩𝓪𝓲𝓷☬༒꧂. It has four letters and six symbols, so it uses ten characters. A second frame would use many more. Some apps also count unusual characters as two. So a name can work in one app and fail in another. If a name is refused, remove some decoration first. Then make the name shorter if you still need to.
TikTok, WhatsApp and Facebook
TikTok has a nickname and a username, like Instagram. The nickname usually accepts styled text. The username stays plain. Boy and attitude styles are popular for TikTok nicknames.
WhatsApp keeps the profile name short. Most styles work, but some older phones show empty boxes, so check the preview.
Facebook is different. Its rules ask for the name you use in daily life. It does not allow symbols, unusual capital letters or repeated characters. A styled name may be refused, so use your styles in your bio or posts instead.
Free Fire name change, limits and nickname ideas
Free Fire, also called FF, is a game where many players use styled nicknames. The nickname field accepts many symbols, so you can see frames, crowns and stars in many lobbies. A Free Fire name style is simply your nickname written with these decorative characters.
Picking a Free Fire name that works
A short name works best. The nickname field is small, and each symbol uses some of the space. ꧁༒☬𝓩𝓪𝓲𝓷☬༒꧂ looks good, but more than half of it is decoration. Your teammates must read your name quickly, and they must type it to find you. So make the real letters easy to see.
There is no single best name for Free Fire. A good name is easy to read, easy to type, and still something you like next year. Some players want a strong, serious name. Others want a short, clean name. Both are fine, and neither needs ten symbols.
Free Fire attitude, boy and girl styles
A Free Fire attitude name style usually uses Old English letters, angular symbols or a heavy frame. The Attitude and Boy sections above use this look. The Girl sections use script letters, small stars and softer symbols.
These labels describe a common look. They are not rules. The game accepts the same characters from everyone, so choose any style you like. Aesthetic names and anime-style names are also popular. For these, use a few good symbols around a short name instead of many symbols. Trends change every year, including in 2026, but the basic rule stays the same: a short name in a small field.
Symbols that usually work
Brackets such as ꧁ and ꧂, crowns, stars and hearts are common in Free Fire lobbies, so the game usually accepts them. Rare symbols cause most of the problems. If a symbol appears as an empty box, or the game refuses the name, remove that symbol and try again. You can find more symbol ideas in the section on cool symbols, emoji and colour.
Finding a base name first
A good style needs a good name under it. Start with a word you like, such as Nova, Ghost, Rogue, Blaze or Viper. You can also use your first name, a word from your own language, or a short word with a number that has meaning for you. To make the name more unique, add one small symbol that few people use. Then style the name here. Do not copy the name of a pro player or a streamer. Pretending to be someone else breaks the rules of most games, and it confuses your friends.
Free Fire name change: step by step
- Make the name on this page and copy it.
- Open Free Fire and go to your profile.
- Tap the small edit icon next to your nickname.
- Paste your new name. The game asks for a Name Change Card or diamonds, and it shows the price before you pay.
- Check the preview, then confirm.
Prices and rules change with updates, and they can be different in each region. Trust the confirm screen in the game, not a number from a website. Some websites promise free name change cards or free diamonds. Do not use them. Free Fire does not need your password to change your name, and we will never ask for it.
Guild names and bio
A guild name and a bio have their own rules, different from your nickname. Most styles from this page fit, but test one first. Creating a guild can cost in-game currency, and you do not want to lose it on a name that the game refuses. In a bio, style one short line and keep the rest of the text plain.
BGMI and PUBG names: rename card, limits and tips
BGMI and PUBG Mobile players want a name that looks good in the lobby and in the kill feed. The BGMI section above has framed names, Old English letters and boxed gamer styles for this. Choose a card, copy it and paste it into the game.
Why a BGMI or PUBG name can be refused
The game can refuse a name that is hard to read or that breaks its rules. It may also show an invalid character message when a symbol is not supported. Names that are mostly symbols are refused most often, so keep real letters in the name. If one style fails, choose a simpler one. The filters change, so a name that worked last season may not work now.
For a unique or aesthetic BGMI name, a light style with one or two small symbols is safer than a heavy frame. It leaves more room for letters.
How to change your BGMI name
BGMI uses a Rename Card to change a name. Depending on the season and events, you may find one in your inventory, in the shop or as a reward.
- Copy a styled name from this page.
- Open BGMI, go to your inventory and choose the Rename Card.
- Paste the name and read the preview.
- Confirm.
Each rename uses one card, and the game may limit how often you can rename. PUBG Mobile uses a similar rename item. The menus can be different in each version, so read the instructions in your game.
Instagram names: name field, username and bio
For an Instagram name style, use the styled text in the Name field and in your bio. Instagram has two name fields, and they have different rules. Mixing them up is a common mistake.
Instagram name versus username
The Name is the bold text at the top of your profile. It accepts letters, spaces, emoji and most symbols, up to 30 characters. The username is the handle after the @ sign. It accepts only letters, numbers, periods and underscores. So put a styled name in the Name field, never in the username. A styled username would also be hard to type, so your friends could not find you.
How to add a style name to Instagram
- Make your style name on this page and copy it.
- Open Instagram and go to your profile.
- Tap Edit profile, then tap Name.
- Paste the style name and save.
Instagram bio name style
The bio also accepts styled text. Style one short line, such as your first name or a phrase, and keep the rest plain so it is easy to read. “Welcome to my profile” is a popular line to style. Type it in the box above and choose a card. Decorative letters are hard to read for some people, and screen readers (tools that read the screen aloud) may not read them correctly. Use them for a name or one short line, not for a full paragraph.
Highlight and story names
Highlight titles are short, and Instagram cuts long titles in the row under your bio. Style one word, such as Travel or Fitness, and avoid a full sentence. One styled word also looks cleaner than a long one.
How often you can change it
Instagram limits how often you can change your name and username. A limit of two changes in 14 days is often mentioned, but Instagram can change this rule. Check the Instagram Help Centre for the current rule. Choose a name you like before you save.
IMO names for profiles, groups and rooms
IMO is popular for video calls and family chats. You can style your profile name, and you can also style the names of groups and rooms. The steps are the same as in other apps. Copy a card, paste it in the name field and check the result.
Your IMO name and nickname
Script and bold styles are easy to read on small screens. Hearts and stars give a warmer look. A chat list has little space for each name, so a short name is easier to read. If you want an IMO stylish name in Urdu or Bangla, choose that language with the button in the box. The section about writing your name in Hindi, Urdu or Bangla explains how it works.
Group and room names
Family rooms, friend groups and VIP groups are common choices. Type the full group name, for example Sweet Family, Royal Family or Weekend Squad. The cards style the whole phrase. Party rooms, song rooms and happy rooms are also common. Keep the name short so it is easy to read in the group list. A room can also have a topic line, and you can style it in the same way. Everyone in the group sees the name, so choose one that all members like.
Attitude, boy, girl and love styles by mood
These styles are grouped by mood, not by app. You can paste any of them into a game, an Instagram name or a chat.
Attitude and boy styles
Attitude styles use Old English letters, angular symbols and heavy frames. Old English is a gothic style, like the title of an old newspaper. They are popular for Free Fire, BGMI and TikTok, and also for Instagram names. They work best with short names. A long name with symbols on both sides looks crowded. The same rule applies in any other game: keep the name short, easy to read and light on symbols.
Girl and aesthetic styles
This group uses script letters, small stars, bows, flowers and hearts. It works well for Instagram names, bios and IMO names. A soft style often looks best with only one or two small symbols. Aesthetic and cute styles are similar: simple letters and a light look. The prettiest names are usually the simple ones.
Love and couple names
Hearts decorate a name and keep it easy to read. For a couple name, type both names with an ampersand, for example Sara & Zain. Free Fire players and Instagram users often do this. Short lines such as “my love” also work well as a bio or a nickname.
Popular phrases people style
You can also style short lines for bios, rooms and group names. Here are some common examples in different styles.
| Phrase | Styled example | Good for |
|---|---|---|
| Welcome to my profile | ᴡᴇʟᴄᴏᴍᴇ ᴛᴏ ᴍʏ ᴘʀᴏꜰɪʟᴇ | Instagram bio |
| My style my attitude | 𝓜𝔂 𝓼𝓽𝔂𝓵𝓮 𝓶𝔂 𝓪𝓽𝓽𝓲𝓽𝓾𝓭𝓮 | Instagram bio, IMO name |
| No love | 𝕹𝖔 𝖑𝖔𝖛𝖊 | Instagram name or bio |
| I am single | 𝐈 𝐚𝐦 𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐥𝐞 | Bio |
| One man show | 𝕆𝕟𝕖 𝕞𝕒𝕟 𝕤𝕙𝕠𝕨 | Game nickname, bio |
| I am VIP | 𝓘 𝓪𝓶 𝓥𝓘𝓟 | VIP group, game guild |
| Friends zone | ꜰʀɪᴇɴᴅꜱ ᴢᴏɴᴇ | Friend group name |
| Last wish | 𝕷𝖆𝖘𝖙 𝖜𝖎𝖘𝖍 | Bio |
| Sweet family | 𝓢𝔀𝓮𝓮𝓽 𝓯𝓪𝓶𝓲𝓵𝔂 | IMO family room |
| Happy room | 𝐇𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐲 𝐫𝐨𝐨𝐦 | IMO room |
| I love India | Ⓘ ⓛⓞⓥⓔ Ⓘⓝⓓⓘⓐ | Instagram bio |
| Forever | 𝓕𝓸𝓻𝓮𝓿𝓮𝓻 | Couple name, bio |
You can style other lines in the same way. Examples are numbers like 07 or 7 star, greetings like hello or welcome, mood lines like crazy or sad boy, and place names like India or Mumbai. Type the line in the box and choose a card.
Cool symbols, emoji and colour in a name
Cool symbols
Symbols make a name look finished. A symbol is any character that is not a normal keyboard letter. These symbols are common and work on most phones: ꧁ ꧂ ✦ ✧ ★ ☆ ♛ ♕ ♡ ❤ ✿ ❀ ⚡ ☾ ◈ ❖ ✪. Players sometimes call a list like this a symbol font, but it is only a set of characters. Copy one or two symbols, not the whole row. A star on each side, like ★ or ✦, is the simplest style of all. If your friend’s phone cannot show a symbol, your friend will see an empty box. So choose common symbols.
Emoji
Emoji keep their own colours and shapes. A heart or a flame adds colour that plain letters cannot. Instagram and TikTok accept emoji in the name. Games can be stricter. Whether an emoji works in a game depends on the game and its version. The only way to know is to paste it and check. Test it before you pay for a rename.
Colour
Can you make a stylish name in blue or in full colour? Not with the letters. Unicode characters have a shape but no colour. The app decides the colour of the text, so a name field usually shows one fixed colour. A colour emoji, such as a blue heart, keeps its own colour. That is the easy way to add blue to a name. In an image editor or a story, you can change the colour of any text, including a styled name. So you can copy the style here and change the colour there.
Fancy alphabets A to Z
Use this table if you want to mix styles by hand, or if you want the whole alphabet to copy from. Capital letters and small letters have separate columns, because some styles look different in each. A few letters have no true small capital, so tools use a similar letter instead. The q and x in small caps are examples.

Is a name style a font? How fancy text works
No, a name style is not a font. Unicode is the system that lets your phone show text in almost every language. It also has complete alphabets of decorative letters. The math script, bold and double-struck letters were added so that mathematicians could write equations as text. 𝓩𝓪𝓲𝓷 is a different set of characters from the plain letters Z, a, i and n. This generator replaces each letter you type with the matching letter from one of these alphabets.
The main types of style
- Script, bold, Old English and double-struck styles replace each letter with a decorative twin.
- Small caps use real letters, mostly from phonetic alphabets (alphabets that show how words sound), that look like small capital letters.
- Boxed and circled styles put frames or circles around the letters. Separator styles put small marks between the letters.
- Frame and symbol styles put brackets, crowns, stars or hearts around the name.
- Glitch text, also called Zalgo, adds many extra marks to each letter until the text looks broken. It is fun, but it is hard to read and apps often refuse it.
- Strike-through and underline styles draw a line through or under each letter.
Why some symbols appear as boxes
Your phone draws each character from the fonts that it has. If no font has the character, you see an empty box. New phones have more complete fonts than old phones. Some small apps also use fewer fonts than the phone. If a card looks broken, your name is not the problem. Choose another card, or look at the name on a different phone.
Screen readers, search and copying
Fancy text can sound strange when a screen reader reads it aloud. The reader may say “mathematical bold script capital Z”, or it may skip the letter. Search can also miss fancy text, because 𝓩𝓪𝓲𝓷 is not the same text as Zain. So keep a plain version of your name somewhere that people can see, such as your bio. Use fancy text only for display, not for anything that people must type or search for.
Writing your name in Hindi, Urdu or Bangla
NameStyle can write your name in Hindi, Urdu and Bangla as well as English. Tap the small language button on the left side of the box. It shows EN at first. Choose a language and the text in the box changes to it straight away. You can type in any of the four languages, and when you pick another one, your name is converted again.
This copies how the name sounds into another script. It does not translate the meaning. Common names usually come out right. A rarer name can be spelled a little differently from the way you write it, so read the result and fix any letter by hand before you copy it. Urdu needs the most care, because it is normally written without short vowels.
The decorative letter styles, such as script, bold and boxed, only exist for English letters, so they leave Hindi, Urdu and Bangla letters as they are. Frames, symbols, hearts and emoji still decorate a name in any language. For the letter styles, switch the box back to English.
Pick the English spelling people already know you by, such as the one on your ID, because friends will search for that spelling. Ayesha, Aisha and Aysha are the same name. Many people keep the styled English name in the Name field and write their name in Hindi, Urdu or Bangla in the bio. If you mix Urdu and English on one line, some apps change the word order because Urdu reads right to left, so keep them on separate lines.
How to keep a styled name readable
- Keep the name short. Every symbol uses part of the character limit.
- Use one frame only. A frame, a crown and a row of stars together make the name messy.
- Test the name in a free place first. A notes app or a chat with yourself shows how the game will show the name. Do this before you spend diamonds or UC.
- Check the name on another phone, if you can. Older phones show fewer symbols.
- Choose a style that fits the place. A gamer frame looks strange on a school or work profile.
- Keep a plain copy of your name. Friends need it to find you, and logins need it.
- Avoid rare symbols. If nobody can type your name, nobody can add you.
Three mistakes cause most problems. The first is a styled name in a username field. The second is glitch text where the app wants clean text. The third is paying for a rename before testing the name.
Staying safe and respectful
NameStyle runs in your browser. There is no login, and the name you type does not go to our server. The privacy policy explains what is stored on your device.
Be careful with any site that asks for a game password, a login or an app install in return for names, diamonds or cards. These are scams. A name generator never needs your password.
Choose a name that is respectful. Do not use someone else’s name to pretend to be that person, and do not use insults or hateful words. Some symbols come from religious or cultural writing, so think before you use one as decoration in a name that other people will see. Games and social apps can rename or ban accounts that break their rules, and a fancy style does not protect you. If you are young, ask a parent before you spend real money on a rename card or diamonds.
NameStyle is an independent tool. It is not connected to Garena, Krafton, Meta, IMO or any other app or game mentioned on this page. Their names belong to their owners. Read the full disclaimer for more details.
Frequently asked questions
What does name style mean?
It means writing your name with decorative Unicode characters, like script, bold or boxed letters. The result is plain text, so you can copy it and paste it into profiles, bios and nickname fields.
Is NameStyle free?
Yes. It is a free style name generator. Type any name, try every style and copy as many as you want. You do not need an account, and you do not need to install anything.
How do I get a stylish name for Free Fire (FF)?
Enter your name, go to the Free Fire section, copy a card and paste it into the nickname field in the game. Check the preview before you confirm.
How do I change my Free Fire name?
A name change in Free Fire starts in your profile. Tap the edit icon next to your nickname and paste your new name. The game asks for a Name Change Card or diamonds, and the confirm screen shows the current cost. The cost can change.
How many characters can a Free Fire name have?
A Free Fire nickname can have 12 characters, and decorative symbols count toward that limit. Check the limit in your version of the game, because it can change.
Which style is best for BGMI?
A short framed name or a bold gamer style is a safe choice. Keep some real letters, because names with too many symbols are refused more often.
Can I make a PUBG name with NameStyle?
Yes. Copy a card from the BGMI section and paste it as your PUBG Mobile name. The rules of the game and its rename item still apply.
Can I use a stylish name as my Instagram username?
No. Usernames accept only letters, numbers, periods and underscores. Use the styled name in the Name field or in your bio.
Can I make a stylish name for an IMO group or room?
Yes. Enter the whole group or room name, copy a card and paste it into the name field. Keep it short so it is easy to read in the list.
Is name design the same as name style?
Yes. Name style, style name, name design, design name and nickname style all mean the same thing: your name written with decorative characters. NameStyle can make all of them.
Can I make a name in colour?
Not with the letters. Unicode characters have a shape but no colour, so a name field usually shows one fixed colour. A colour emoji, such as a heart or a flame, has its own colour, so it is the easy solution.
Why does my name show as boxes after I paste it?
Your phone or the app does not have a font for one of the characters. Try a different card, or check the name on another phone before you save it anywhere that costs money.
Does NameStyle work on iPhone and Android?
Yes, in any up-to-date browser. How the name looks depends on the fonts on your phone.
Can I type my name in Hindi, Urdu or Bangla?
Yes. Choose a language with the small button on the left of the box. You can type in English, Hindi, Urdu or Bangla, and the box converts the name to the language you pick. The letter styles only change English letters, but frames, symbols and emoji work in every language.
Where are my favourites saved?
They are saved only in your browser on that device, and they are never uploaded. If you clear your browser data, they are removed.
